Friday 6th January – bike *** – Mainly cloudy.

What a great day, wake up to a full wolf moon so take a pic which is then featured on BBC’s Look East, my first weather pic of the year, I also had three photos chosen as BBC Editors Picks today:) Then decided to walk down to Felixstowe prom at 7.30 to catch the sunrise and get a few nice pics. Being sunny with a bit of breeze I arranged with Robert to check out Levington for a windsurf foil but sadly there was not quite enough we didn’t fancy a pumping session with a big sail. On the plus side there was some top clouds with a small prism of colour for some more nice pics. So, home early I had time to do my exercises before packing a picnic, cuppa soup and pate filled Rivata’s, we know how to live before setting off on our bikes for the second day running. This time heading to Felixstowe Ferry. We whizzed down the hill to the busy prom, with light winds and an interesting sky it was a nice day to be out and about. Then around to the quieter section of prom at The Dip, passing our usual spot on the mouth of the River Deben eventually stopping at the bench near the jetty for the picnic. Then after lunch we set off for home taking a longer route via Ferry Lane spotting a muntjac leading to Walton, a quite trip to Lidl before our afternoon cuppa.
Loads of wind now coming but tomorrow is looking pretty wet so might have to give it a miss!
